How M-Track Works
M-Track is a powerful business tool which condenses and transmits complex data allowing management to access real-time information about their moveable assets. Fleet management data enables management to address strategic and operational issues in order to improve business performances. M-track range of advanced vehicle tracking solutions provides operational managers with information to maximize efficiency, improve productivity and reduce operational costs of their respective mobile field teams.
M-Track allows an extensive range of data to be passed to and from vehicles via wireless communication protocols through General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), a mobile data service that transmits data over the mobile phone network. This data is collated, then interrogated by sophisticated software systems that combine GPS location information with digital mapping to present the information in a usable form for businesses that require live status information or historical and event reporting.
The Global Positioning System (GPS) is Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) using around 24 orbiting satellites to transmit signals. The system enables a GPS receiver to determine its location, speed, direction, and time. As a result the acquired information is sent to the control station every 20 seconds which transforms into the useful information required.
